A brief overview of engine structure and systems as outlined in the Systems Description Section of the Aircraft Maintenance Manual/Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.
Upon completion of Level 1 training, the student will be able to:
(a) provide a simple description of the whole subject, using common words and examples, using typical terms and identify safety precautions related to the engine;
(b) identify manuals, maintenance practices important to the powerplant;
(c) define the general layout of the engine's major systems;
(d) define the general layout and characteristics of the powerplant.

- Prerequisites
Basic English, aviation-related technical vocabulary (training is delivered in the English language). For online training, an internet connection, computer, webcam, and microphone are mandatory.
